Black Truffle Fest pt.1 / crys cole + Arnold Dreyblatt’s Orchestra Of Excited Strings ft. Oren Ambarchi, Konrad Sprenger, Joachim Schütz

INTRO from Oren Ambarchi
I'm super excited to present 3 nights of selected artists and projects from the Black Truffle label at arkaoda in October and November. The label has close to 100 releases thus far, so it was very difficult to include all of the artists I would have liked to, however I've tried to squeeze in as much as I can! It feels wonderful to have so many incredible friends and collaborators from far and wide, gathering together for these 3 nights, I'm sure it will be memorable!

Next dates are on the series 9th and 10th of November with names like Eiko Ishibashi, Brunhild Ferrari, Christoph Heemann, Will Guthrie, Francis Plagne, Giuseppe Ielasi & Nicola Ratt and Oren Ambarchi’s amazing ensemble HUBRIS

Arnold Dreyblatt’s Orchestra Of Excited Strings
Arnold Dreyblatt is an American media artist and composer who has been based in Berlin, Germany since 1984. One of the second generation of New York minimal composers, Dreyblatt studied music with Pauline Oliveros, La Monte Young, and Alvin Lucier and media art with Woody and Steina Vasulka. His early activities in music and performance included the albums "Nodal Excitation", "Propellers In Love" and the opera project "Who's Who in Central and East Europe 1933”.  Dreyblatt has charted his own unique course in composition and music performance. He has invented a set of new and original instruments, performance techniques, and a system of tuning. Often characterized as one of the more rock-oriented of American minimalists, Dreyblatt has cultivated a strong underground base of fans for his transcendental and ecstatic music with his "Orchestra of Excited Strings".  Dreyblatt's latest release is the archival duo album with Paul Panhuysen Duo Geloso released on Black Truffle.
Tonight Dreyblatt will present his "Orchestra of Excited Strings" featuring Konrad Sprenger on motorised guitar and drums, Joachim Schütz on modified electric guitar and Oren Ambarchi on guitar and percussion.
