As Longitude\'s release party on Macadam Mambo w/ Sacha Mambo
This night will be a fest - As Longitude's release party on Macadam Mambo - as well named "That's when the animals turned into human".
As Longitude is the Berlin based duo founded by Eva Geist and Laura ODL (also known as Ondula), which appeared in the new electronic scene after last year brillant number on Knekelhuis and appearance on the compilation Eine Welt vol 1.In this EP their psychedelic madness that mixes in a very punkish way hypnotic sounds, voices and Saxo, bring us back to our bestial primitive instincts, when we were still close to animals. On the first track, which gives the title to the EP, the outstanding vocal performance by Berlin frontman and songwriter Paul Arambula reveals the duo’s wavy tendency in an unexpected song-form. The following tracks NA Numbers, which features Simone of electronic duo Twoonky on the Saxophone, and I thought it was maintain AL’s abstract although more tribal hypnotic thread.”Thats’ when the animals turned into humans” will be out on french Madam Mambo on the 1st of december 2018.
Sacha Mambo (DJ-Set) DJ and digger for over two decades, his musical culture taps into a wide spectrum of influences. He has been a resident at Le Sucre in Lyon (FR) from 2014 at 2016, where he has earmarked his very peculiar style. Sacha is one of those special DJs that manages to find the links between completely disparate styles of music and weave them together to create life changing moments and rich narratives on the dancefloor. Playing everything from Cosmic Afro, Dub to New Beat, Early Rave to New Wave, post-Punk, Krautrock or weird electronic sounds…, his knowledge of rare gems and infectious oddball obscurities is second to none.
When he's not DJing all over the world, Sacha runs the esteemed Macadam Mambo record Label out of Lyon known for releasing incredible Edits and New School Original music by the likes of Eva Geist, Abschaum, The Pilotwings, Jin Cromanyon, Mori-Ra, Traxx, Albion … and by himself as producer under Sacha Mambo or his MZKBX alias.
Paul Arámbula & The Want To (live)
Coming from abroad and practically ingrained in the music turmoil of Neukölln, Paul offers a synth-pop experience where the whimsical melts with the prosaic romanticism. Playing often alone with his minimalistic set-up, Paul will perform for this occasion with a full band formation. He offered his voice for this new EP of As Longitude and will as well perform with the duo on this evening.
