Are You Listening? w/ Carrageenan,Wilted Woman live, Dj Schlucht

After a three-month hiatus, Are You Listening? is back for its third happening in the cosy bar room at Arkaoda.
For this Sunday session, electronic oddities will be granted by Carrageenan and Wilted Woman's performances. Dj Schlucht and Laura Not will take care of the DJ decks in between and after the concerts.

CARRAGEENAN

Solo minimal raw beats by Brussels based midnight lurker Matthieu Levet, also part of the duo Carcass Identity. His live performance often turns the venue to a black hole of analog percussions and heavy distorted dub bass, drowning the audience in a splurge of electronic tonal and atonal dribble. After 'Let's Go There' his first LP on Cold Moss, his new album 'Invisible Design' was just released on Czaszka Records.

Previously performed in north and east Europe, UK, Japan (Cafe Oto, Salon des Amateurs, Kraak Festival, Forestlimit Tokyo) and toured with Bear Bones Lay Low, Accou, Spoils & Relics, CIA debutante, Descendeur, Uj Bala.

WILTED WOMAN

Wilted Woman is the primary music alias of a certain E. DAVIS. Her approach to composition and performance emerges from a longstanding confusion about the boundaries between E- and U-Musik.
WW also makes radio art and broadcasts regularly as DJ PUDDLE for Berlin's Cashmere Radio.

Her most recent release is TROPICAL MALAISE on Psychic Liberation/Primitive Languages label.

DJ SCHLUCHT

Hailing from Berlin DJ SchluchT works at DIYChurch.org as one of their unpaid interns since more than 10 years. He made himself a name with bad social behaviour online and in real live as well as naive ghost coding and tape looping. His Dj sets are very eclectic – drug referential stoner-logic reflecting on movies without watching them and basically it always sounds the same or like one of his critics once said: "classic intuitive wrongfootedness". When he is not djing or radioing or helping out at westgermany, shlucht likes to sit in his virtual bay & watch his yachts, little known but he runs a virtual yacht club where he shares his enthusiasm for underwater landscape painting and networked waves and content managment systems. He also released some mixtapes & audio works.

LAURA NOT

Laura Not is an artist and sound-collagist. She hosts "(x)=musik", a monthly thematic radio show on Lyl Radio, and curates an eclectic guest selection for "Sounds Unsaid" on dublab.de.
Like in a collage made of unusually combined materials, her dj sets are the space in which sounds link together beyond the different stories they tell.
