AMERICAN SOUND
American Sound is a bold name for a British musician to use as their moniker. It's the new solo project of Tom Hirst, who recently teamed up with Ravioli Me Away for their glorious HMS RMA project. He was also a member of Cleckhuddersfax and previously performed as Design A Wave. Hirst's sound is a heady synth and guitar centric Kosmiche, with melodies that are strong from the off.

GUSH
GUSH is a new 2 piece band featuring Steven Warwick (aka Heatsick) and Iván Brito (aka Vanya).
Their sound is very broad, incorporating post punk terrace chant, surf rock, psychedelia and goth.

DESIGN A WAVE
Tom Hirst has been making music for many moons. Initial buds featured tape collages, distangled pop music, various dictaphone experiments, and over time all this meshed and warped into his solo musical venture known as Design A Wave. Initiated in the late 90s, the project was loosely named after one of the gangs in the Troma film Surf Nazis Must Die which, alongside other similar movies and music of its time, informed a particular vision of an idealized weird - a trashy synth orientated 80s B-movie soundtrack, which provided an aesthetic platform on which to dive, surf and ride.

NOT:HULME
not:hulme are visual artist and dj Laura Not and filmmaker and musician Andrew Hulme. Together they team up at the dj booth, make music and abstract films. Their back-to-back sets drift from ambient drones and fourth world percussions to dub and post-punk. It's a collaboration based on call and response, where rhythms entwine in a hypnotic dreamspace.
