Iku Sakan


Iku Sakan is a Japanese electronic musician and DJ, currently based in Osaka and Berlin.

His music focuses predominantly on the potential of the emotional developments through the repetitive rhythmic patterns, rotating harmonics and resonating melodies.

The decades of collecting constantly shifting sound materials, melding improvisation, and DJ'ing practices, has lead him to create his own unique niche of electronic organism in recent years.

In his richly textured human wave music, Sakan searches for soulful moments from soulless materials.

He's been also collaborating with some notable names in the modern music scope. Sun Araw, Pekka Airaksinen, Anders Lauge Meldgaard (ex-Frisk Frugt), Maher Shalal Hash Baz, Muneomi Senju (ex-Boredoms), Damo Suzuki, Günter Schickert, among many others.
