Souci EP Release with Sarah Farina, LUZ1E, Hanaby, Irma, Kasja

Raiders invites you to Arkaoda to celebrate the release of “Positions of Power”, the debut EP by Souci, which is finally out on wax! Besides community vibes appropriate for a Sunday, a unique listening session, and a chance to snag a copy of this tasty 12”, we will be blessed by DJ sets by some of Berlin’s most desired disc jockeys: Luz1e, whose productions have earned her a serious reputation among lovers of electro, house and breakbeats alike, will go toe to toe with in-demand-selectress extraordinaire Sarah Farina. Another b2b for the b2books is to be expected by Irma and Kasja -- both of which are mainstays of Berlin-based Balkan-focused collective Merak which Souci co-founded. Finally, superstar DJ Hanaby will supply some of her signature wizardry behind the booth, weaving bass-heavy bangers from all over the globe into the perfect Sunday soundtrack.

On the release: “Positions of Power” is a techno-futurist love letter to Souci's time in Detroit, the artists who continue to inspire her and the origins of house and techno. The EP oscillates between basements and ballrooms, hypermodern dancefloor sensibilities and dusty drum machine loops, the melodic and the functional sides of dance music’s rich history. After contributing tracks to compilations and creating remixes since 2020, this EP marks Souci's first proper release. It is also Raiders Records’ first proper foray into vinyl.
