Miaan Nights

We’re returning to @arkaodaberlin at the end of the month — 29.01 — for an evening of readings, live music, and DJ sets.

joined by @n.o.u.f.a.n (Noufan) — a project by Shahab Anousha and Oliver Doerell. An Iranian–Belgian duo blending post-punk, experimental, and jazz elements with live trumpet, Iranian poetry, and Shahab’s reflections.

@amuletomanuela, Colombian sound artist and DJ, will offer a hybrid reading–DJ set.
@jad.elchoufi will read from his recent poetry.
@anousha_patousha, joined by @jiivankaur, will share writings reflecting on diaspora communities and identities within Western contexts.

The night is hosted by MIAAN co-founder @aamiroo_, guiding us through the evening and offering context.

With these voices gathered, we cannot look away from what is unfolding in Iran.
This is not only a political space —
it is a space of listening, of sitting together,
of amplifying voices from Iran while allowing silence, grief, and tenderness to exist.

We come together not to resolve,
but to witness, to resonate,
and to try to hold each other.
