Sold Out! TEMPERS + LEYA

- TEMPERS -
Tempers is a New York based outfit headed by singer and songwriter Jasmine Golestaneh, melting low-lit poetic synth-pop with hints of techno, shoegaze and post-punk.
Widely influenced by Fleetwood Mac via Kraftwerk to Joy Division and upbringing between London and New York, Tempers evolved quickly into their singular identity on debut album 'Services', including underground dancefloor hit 'Strange Harvest'. The 2017 EP 'Fundamental Fantasy' was released as a result of The Vinyl Factory’s Volcano Extravaganza artist residency on the Aeolian island of Stromboli. Tempers’ interest in the arts led to the 2018 release 'Junkspace feat. Rem Koolhaas', a concept album set in a shopping mall, collaborating with famed architect Rem Koolhaas through samples of interviews deconstructing the architecture of consumerism. 2019's full length 'Private Life' progressed their cinematic aesthetic into more introspective landscapes, and featured their most popular track to date, 'Capital Pains'. The recent 'New Meaning’ is the 2022 sophomore album on Dais Records, including the single ‘Unfamiliar’ and the 3D animated video-art for ‘Sightseeing’. The record is accompanied by a book of album inspired hand made collage art by Golestaneh (Old Habits Publishing).
Alongside numerous live performances, 2023 marks an innovation for the band: the evolution from a duo setup with producer Eddie Cooper to an enhanced set of collaborations, both live and on recordings, led by Jasmine Golestaneh.
Recent highlights include festivals like Levitation Austin, Hipnosis Mexico, Synästhesie Berlin, Grauzone The Hague, special events like at the Andy Warhol Museum Pittsburgh and sold out headline shows at Elsewhere Brooklyn, Zebulon LA, Kantine am Berghain Berlin and Moth Club London.

- LEYA -
Harpist Marilu Donovan and violinist/vocalist Adam Markiewicz are NYC-based duo LEYA. They work with and against the grain of tradition, mining intensity through alternate tunings, strange harmonies, and dream-state operatic-like vocals. Beauty underlies their sound but mixes with a sense of unease, heralding an instantly recognizable and captivating world.
To date LEYA have released two full-length albums and a mixtape with NNA Tapes: The Fool (2018), its critically acclaimed follow-up Flood Dream (2020), and the fully-collaborative project Eyeline (2022). They have also created a flurry of additional work across music, media, fashion, and art.
In 2018, the group wrote and performed a full-length soundtrack to I Love You, an erotic film directed by Brooke Candy and produced by Pornhub that also features the duo as actors. 2019's Angel Lust, a collaborative EP with Eartheater, followed courtesy of legendary experimental label PAN. In 2022, LEYA released Eyeline, a mixtape featuring contributions from Julie Byrne, Eartheater, Okay Kaya, Actress, Claire Rousay, James K, Deli Girls, Sunk Heaven, and Martha Skye Murphy. Additional singles and remixes have seen the group paired with black metal group Liturgy, electronic musician Drew McDowall (Coil, Psychic TV), and composer/filmmaker Christina Vantzou, among others.
LEYA have also worked extensively outside the world of music. The duo has collaborated with fashion labels including Louis Vuitton, Acne Studios, Hood By Air, and CFDA Emerging Artist Winner Elena Velez. In dance they have collaborated with choreographer Lonnie Landon at the famed Jacob’s Pillow. In visual art they have worked on a number of projects ranging from scoring work for pioneering film and video artist Charles Atlas to a number of public art installations around the US.
LEYA have performed their work at festivals around the world including Le Guess Who? (NL), Oblivion Access (US), LOST (Italy), ReWire (NL), B-Sides (Switzerland), Creepy Teepee (Czech Republic), Sensor (Armenia), New Forms (Canada), SXSW (US), and the Dutch Harp Festival.
